Riding Schools

FREE Riding Schools at Highland Park!

Great for anyone that already knows how to ride, but wants to improve their skills. These courses are designed to help you master the skills needed for better and more confident riding, and that makes riding more fun! The only cost is your regular vehicle pass for the day - the school is free. Scroll down for school dates. Please note we do not do our free schools during the hottest part of the Summer or the coldest part of the Winter.

Ladies "Spa Day"

"Spa Day" has become one of the favorite free riding schools with the ladies, no we're not talking manicures and pedicures, we're talking dirtbike riding! It's no secret that Paul has a sweet spot for the ladies, so this day is set aside just for them, and is a great opportunity to meet other female riders who all share the same interest. Some great friendships have evolved from this class!

The girls get to learn in an environment that is controlled and comfortable to them, and at the end of their session, they motor off with the confidence needed to be better riders, and motivation to get out on the trails using their new skills. Paul tries to cover different skills at every class, could be anything from jumps, to brake sliding, turns, hills, log crossings, etc. And most times, he touches on more than just one skill in a class.

Spa Days are usually the 1st Saturday of every other month, and free with a normal days ride pass. Please call the office to make sure it's still "on schedule" if you are planning to attend, sometimes they have to be moved due to scheduling conflicts with other events. Some basic skills are required for this class, such as adequate throttle/clutch control and braking.

*Look for the Next Spa Day date in October. Meet 10AM, ready to ride in front of the lodge.

Private Riding Instruction

Private Riding Instruction is available beginner to expert, $65/hr, two hour minimum. Each additional hour is reduced to $55 per hour. The advantage to private instruction is how much you will learn and how fast you will learn in a short period of time with one-on-one instruction and experienced coaching. We know how to increase your skill and confidence, beginner to seasoned racer, and our instruction is done by A and AA level racers that have plenty of experience teaching riding skills. We can help with the basics, concentrate on problem areas, get your speed up, teach your wife, husband, and kids, or anything else you need help with. Considering the amount of time and money you will likely spend riding/racing this year, some coaching will be just a drop in the bucket, but certainly some of the best time and money you can spend. Weekends are typically busy, so we try to arrange private instruction on a weekday. If you can only be here on a weekend, we can do that too, it might, however, take a longer time to find a weekend that will work out for both of us.
